Alexandra Vergara is a Psychology Major graduate from Simon Fraser University. She has experience working with and supporting youth. She was involved with the Vancouver School Board in a partnership program with the Vancouver Police Department as an immigrant Youth Programmer. She has also provided support and services for adults and seniors in her professional career through organizations such as Vancouver Coastal Health and Richmond Kinsmen Adult Day Center. Alexandra has been an avid volunteer in the mental health sector, including being a music therapy assistant, resident visitor, and psychosocial services provider volunteer. She is an active volunteer newsletter and blog post writer at several organizations and has contributed to newsletters by the British Columbia Psychological Association as well as Montreal’s Ami Quebec in previous years. At our clinic, Alexandra works as a clinical assistant helping appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services, coordinate clients’ access to services, and operate the clinic’s schedule.

Alexandra loves to listen to talk radio shows and podcasts, sing, draw, write, find interesting reads at the public library or at her favourite bookstore, go to concerts and festivals, be in nature, play with her dogs, and volunteering.
